For here and some of the other categories, I am sure it is mainly for fun, but in others, I am sure alot of people are look-ing for answers to a specific question and that's all they really want...they don't stay on here or care about getting points..
They just want their answer and that's it and they don't know where to start looking for what they need to know....
For p/s and such, when it stops being fun, I guess it's time to take a break from it...If you have something you'd rather be
doing instead, do that....and then come back and see how you
feel if you get that "burnt out" feeling...It might be temporary....

I thought it was all fun and games before yesterday. Yesterday I entered with a black heart. Even people that are labeled as creeps here have rallied to my side in support of me in this cloud of grief. With humor they have gently begun to ease my sorrow. Yes there is a point. That doesn't mean everyone will see it.

That is the point of Yahoo Answers it's all about the points and how many can you and can you get a Top Contributor badge.

Well for almost everything outside of P&S yes. These aren't taken too seriously all the time, this is more for fun and gaining points I think. But in other categories I think they are taken a little more seriously.

LOL....no!! Its addictive and people can be real funny but for the most part, there's a lot of idiots who are real nasty to others here so I think all the time, what's the point?
