Yeah but it makes me think that some people don't have anything better to do so that's what they do. Whenever I answer a question I try to see it from different views so that it wouldn't be misunderstood. So if I do get a thumbs down it wouldn't be justified. :)

I know that some people do it just to piss people off, so not really. Every now and then I will get a stick up my... but I move on. It is only Yahoo Answers for god sake!

I was shocked the first time and couldn't understand why, then I got to know how some people like to play and it doesn't bother me any more.

When it's a serious answer, sometimes. Other than that, no. I actually like it alot of times.

I don't understand why people give thumbs down to questions like what is your favorite animal.

Sometimes. If I have answered with correct info and they don't like it - that annoys me....
or if say asked favourite colour and I reply 'purple' and that gets a thumbs down! Mmmmm - makes you wonder!

I don't know if it bothers me. It would be interesting if Y!A provided a place to put comments in addition to the up or down. Then you could tell what they didn't like about your answer.

Nope... I'm getting used to it and have learned to expect it.

Shame though... I see many great answers that get thumbs down.
