I can't open a video file, i need a codec?

i need a realplayer codec SIPR, but i can't find it,
i think its too old, is there a different codec i can use to play realplayer files in Windiows media player,
everytime i open that video file windows MP says that i need that codec to open that video

can anyone give me a link where i can download this or a more updated codec.

Download RealAlternative from FreeCodecs.com (or whatever their domain name is)

you can go to the realplayer website and download their player to play those types of files.
