i can't get close enough to my blue platty to see if she is pregnant. we have 2 males and 2 females and a betta in a 10 gallon tank and so i can't see her cause the other fish get in the way. should i seperate the females if they are pregnant, i belive they both are because they have bigger bellies than before.

If you have males with females, you have pregnant platys, that almost a given.

She will have the babies about 28 days from the time she got pregnant, but that could be off by as much as a week longer or shorter. 28 days is just an average.

If you want to save the babies, each female will need her own space with no other fish in it. Either a tank or a breeder net. Plenty of plastic plants will help the babies hide from mom as she will eat them if she gets a chance.

Yes seperate her. You also need to get atleast 2 if not 3 more females to keep the males busy. The rule of thumb is 1 male to 2 females.

i think u should because it would be best if they are prgnant to make sure they have safe surrondings so yes seperate them but when they get older you can put them togetther with the other fish

28 days is typical. 21-40 is "normal". I prefer plastic over net.
