Do you think people hate George Bush just because he is such a devout Christian?

Maybe people hate him because they know that he walks the correct path and they don't. What do you think?

I do read the newspaper after I read my Bible.....The Bible is the "WORD" that lets me know what is right and wrong. It also tells me not to judge people!

No. What makes you believe he is such a devout Christian ? Does he worship on the Sabbath Day , which is Saturday ? No, so how is he devout ? A devout Christian searches for the whole truth, and acts accordingly, even when it hurts, and the cost of loss is very high. Not to mention the hatred thrown at Christians who follow this true path of Christ. Most do fail at this, and are forever repenting trying to get back on track, or just steadily backsliding. Bush is no exception. The Sabbath Day is the ONLY seal of God mentioned in the Bible. Also Revelations says,," here are the patience of the saints, they are those that KEEP the commandments of God ( 10 commandments) and the FAITH of Jesus."
Hes lacking on the ten commandments. The 4th commandment is the only commandment that starts with REMEMBER,,and it is about the Sabbath day.

I think hes incompetent, not devout, you could be devout as all get out and run a country or a war properly and be intelligent, and if he did all that no one would complain. But hes not, and so people don't like the job hes doing. I don't know him, except by his actions, and nothing hes done shows hes devout, but all his actions are in favor of big business and he shows no care for the ill or the infirm or the poor. We don't have a theocracy, so he shouldn't be pushing his denomination over others, that's against the constitution, but the fact is he simply isn't good at running the country. I don't hate him, but I do hate what hes done to ruin our country's reputation and financial resources in pursuit of a war that has no end.

Some people hate him because it is popular and presented well.

I love how people assume that they know what the Bush administration ahd to work on. Were any of them there during the briefings, they only know what they get from reporting work and have know real clue what the Bush administration knew or didn't know. Calling Bush a liar may be a stretch, he could have simply been going on bad information. I'll admit I don't know, and if acutal proof surfaces that the story wa entirely fabricated than well I'll change my stance until then.

Sure, I'm sure people do hate him for that reason and probably a list of other reasons, too. Sadly, leaders are picked apart and people sometimes search for reasons to hate them. I don't like some of things Bush has done, but his still our President and I hate that our country is full of those who preach tolerance but don't practice it.

I think most people hate him because he is perceived as:

A liar

A fraud

A fool

A greedy jerk

A man who sends soldiers to die for the Bush family to make money.

And many other not-so-"christian" things.

Try reading the news paper instead of just the bible once in a while. You might learn something.

I don't hate him - but I certainly don't like a Government Employee - pushing his religious beliefs on me. I don't think that church and state should be mixed.

I do find it odd though, that a "devout Christian" (as you put it) promotes war and killing. Don't you?

Hate, is such a strong word. People, dislike or disagree with what he has done, it has nothing to do with his Religion.

People hate George Bush coz he's an idiot. Have you heard him talk. He doesn't sound believable. Looks and acts like an ape and cant hold an intelligent conversation.
