Being a pharmacy tech requires only a little training. You have to be totally honest with a squeaky clean record - no one is going to hire you to work with drugs if you have even a tiny criminal record or any kind of drug habit. Only honest, stable people can have a career working with drugs!
Once you have some experience there are some higher levels of training that you can do. These require you to learn a little about drugs, have a good memory for names, and in some cases be good at basic arithmetic -- like the equivalent of algebra I.
You cannot become a pharmacist unless you graduate from pharmacy school - that takes from six to eight years and requires some very hard courses in chemistry and science. Pharmacy techs do not need to do that.

why dont you try googling pharmacy tech and or wikipedia.com that usually has everything just about and or try googling job corps thats a career training center for those of age (16-24) they will give you an allowance, help train you usually by a vocation i.e. electrician, plumber, nurse etc. I think different places have different vocations but those are most of the common I believe. I'll be applying to a job corps center soon just a thought if your of age to try calling them. perhaps you can take courses there to help you - just a consideration. and I'm sure there are good centers and bad centers there are plenty of stories going around.

if your good with your memory. dumb to say i know.....but i took a med office careers. hardest part was learning med terminology, like abbreviations......was ok. but hard cause there was so much and there was also some on perscriptions as part of the course. was aright, but then wasn't as detailed as what your interested in. i ended up failing the course. cause i was a new typist and couldn't get my typing up right away. i had to have minimum 60 to pass. anyways, not sure if thats part of what you want, typing, some i would imagine be required. not sure if that helped or not though. maybe check if theres an information session at the college you want to take the course at to be able to ask questions.

Somebody's mother whose a pharmacist spoke in one of my classes before. She said it was pretty difficult, it's like a real quick medical school with a lot of chemistry and stuff like that. It's not justing putting pills in orange bottles. Lots of memorization.
