I was on the depo shot for awhile. The booklet that came with it says that after quitting it can take up to a year for your system to come out of being dormant.

Who knows.
When I got off depo after being on it for four years, I went on to Kariva (pill). Took a few pill packs but I finally got a period maybe four months after I got off of depo.
Some take a year or more to get their period back.
I would talk to a doctor if this worries you, perhaps get on the pill in order to get your period back.

hmm it took me a while...over a year....but b4 i started taking the shots i didn't have cramps and when started my cycle again they got really bad...im not sure if thats a side effect or not...
