Heck........ if its a 5 gallon tank you might as well add a cup of bleach to it.

You need to go sell all but the 5 guppies or get a 500 gallon Tank. I'm not sure how you even managed to fit that many fish in to such a small tank. Oscars grow very big and need alot of space some kinds of Cichlids get really big too. you Should only have one inch of fish per gallon. the 5 guppies count as 5 inches. Cichlids are very agressive fish and they need alot of space to be happy because they get teritorial. Oscars eat Guppies and so your guppies are probaly not going to live very much longer. Actualy if you don't do something imediatly all of those fish are going to die probaly by tomaro morning if not sooner. A five gallon tank wont even hold one adult Oscar so I assume that your fish are still small. And with that many fish in the tank they are most definetly FIGHTING and not mateing. So you have two choices hear, you can get get a much much biger tank or you can take the fish back to the stupid person who sold them to you and ask for a refund because they should have told you are the pet store that it is an extreemly bad idea to have that many fish in such a small tank.

Little does anyone know that a galloon is actually 100 gallons. So a five galloon tank is perfect for those fish..... except the guppies.
5 guppies will absolutely destroy all those other wimpy fish. It is a little known fact that guppies are mild mannered during the day but as soon as you turn the lights out it will be a slaughter the likes of which you have never seen.
You don't need a filter, just remove the water and the cloudiness will go away. (you might want to get a clothespin for your nose, though)
I'm sure Gary P will back me up on this one.

Is this a joke? You cannot put that many fish in a 5 gallon tank or did you mean 55?
Furthermore.. your oscars will eat your guppies and anything else that can fit in their mouths and I dont know if you know what a cichlid is because an oscar IS a cichlid.

A 5-gallon tank for that many fish is WAY too small! For 50 fish like you say you need AT LEAST a 20-gallon tank!
Your water is probably cloudy because it is too vercrowded, and the fish need personal space! Please either get a 20-gallon or bigger tank or give away 3/4 of your poor fish!

The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language: Fourth Edition. 2000.
galloon
SYLLABICATION:gal·loon
PRONUNCIATION: g-ln
NOUN:A narrow band or braid used as trimming and commonly made of lace, metallic thread, or embroidery.
ETYMOLOGY:French galon, from Old French galonner, to decorate the hair with ribbons.
OTHER FORMS:gal·looned —ADJECTIVE
I'd like to know how you think a galloon is 100 gallons?
Or why a tank would be decorated in such a manner. I think if one is going to troll, one should check their spelling...

way way WAY more fish than a 5 gallon can handle no amount of filteration could help
you would need at least a 100 gallon tank
and with that a canister filter along with protine skimmer and 2 hanon tank filters would be needed

Considering I've seen this same crazy question numerous times, I'm going to say it's a joke. No way can you physically fit all those fish into that tiny tank. I'd love to see pictures if you could. Prove it!

um, you need a much larger tank (rule of thumb, 1 gallon of water for every inch of fish length - I keep 2 or 3 small guppies in my 5-gallon; I plan to eventually upgrade to a 60 gallon or larger when I'm a home-owner instead of a renter)
there's a rotating filter called a bio wheel, it's supposed to be really good cuz it has tons of surface area for the beneficial bacteria, and since it rotates it's well aerated too...
