I think they should have to be a member for awhile so we can see what kind of answers or questions they are giving before we answer their questions.

Would that be a good rule of thumb?

I don't think it would make much difference. I usually check their profile or see when they became a member before I answer anyhow.

Why??
I think most of us genuinely want to talk about this horrible event, simply cuz we're all shocked, and need a place to vent our sadness, and ask our questions.
I'm not a newbie anymore, but I don't think that gives me more rights than the ones who are....let's just give them a chance to express their feelings. (after all, we're still here cuz other people on here gave US a chance when we were newbies!)
