HAHAHA... I almost choked on my sandwich.
He probably meant that he was going to put it on the car lift... it is a machine (usually with a pit underneath) with hydraulics that brings the car up off the ground a couple of feet... I would be freaking about the engine missing though, tell them they better find you a new one or magically make yours reappear!

Funny, my mechanic said my engine was missing too. When I went to check it out, I found he was crazy. It was still right there under the hood. It did sound a little funny though.

LOL :)

I would insist that you talk to a supervisor. If you don't get any progress with that, call a lawyer. If you can't one, there are Legal Aid societies in your phone book that are designed to help low income famiies. Good Iuck!

Be sure and keep all your receipts!

Well I dont know about the engine thing. Maybe he took it out and misplaced it? I dont know. What he probly meant when he said he was gonna lift it up was he was gonna lift it up using that lift machine thingy they use.

I think that guy is real dumb and he shouldn't be working at that place. He shouldn't haven't called you and told you the engine was missing as that is real dumb thing to do. That is my thoughts.
