Blah, Blah, Blah with all these people who don't know jack and are still giving answers anyway.
YES force feeding is sometimes the ANSWER.
If you've never had to do it before...or never heard of it and think it is cruel...THEN YOU DON'T KNOW JACK ABOUT REPTILES. It is necessary sometimes with reptiles, and especially snakes.
My answer to you, the asker is: that you should not be trying it yourself. This takes skill and experience to force feed a reptile and the reptile has stopped eating for a reason. YOU NEED TO TAKE IT TO A VET TO FIND OUT WHAT THAT REASON IS.
If you force feed whole prey to a snake that is too sick, not hydrated, or you do it wrong, you will KILL IT.
Force feeding is something you need to be shown by a vet or experienced herp keeper IN PERSON. It should not be explained to you over the internet, and you should not be trying to learn it at the last minute when you already have a problem.

Force feeding a snake is never the answer.. If it has to be done then it needs to be done by a professional (a vet). It should be used ONLY as a last resort... and that's like only if the snake hasn't ate anything in several months (time it can go without food depends on it's size, health, and type) but most snakes can go safely without eating for about 3-6 months (though that's not an ideal way to feed your snake).
Force feeding a snake is a really good way to give it all sorts of problems, if done improperly it can hurt and possibly kill the snake, and more than likely the snake will just regurgitate the food which can also cause all kinds of fun problems.
Just wait it out, and if you are housing your red tails together separate them because there is likely some stress going on as red-tails shouldn't be housed together! (they have been known to resort to cannibalism! which is natural for snakes if they feel another snake is threatening their territory.)

You shouldn't force feed a snake! That is cruel! If your snake is not eating then I would sugest taking it to a doctor or going to the pet shop you came from.

This is your 2nd question about your snakes and their eating habits in the last 30 minutes. Go find a reputable pet shop in your area, and ask them. You shouldn't have to force feed any animal. If you're just looking to see them eat a mouse for the sick thrill of it, then grow up.

It relies upon on the type of snake. Is it nocturnal? if so, attempt feeding it at night. Bloodying up the mouse (pinkie) may additionally get the snakes interest. some snakes, like ball pythons, randomly rapid and can go long classes of time without ingesting. it would help if I knew what type of snake it incredibly is yet this is all i will enable you to realize with constrained guidance. additionally, what's it unwell with?
