Advantages: 1. The deeper sense of tolerance and understanding. The deeper sense of finding truth. 2. The responsibility to come out, and spread that tolerance and truth. 3. The gift of higher awareness. 4. oooo! I thought of a fourth. That ok? Having the god-given good sense to NEVER own a mini-van! Disadvantages: 1. Lack of common civil rights in countries like the USA. 2. Having to deal with hatred and ignorance. 3. Having to attempt to educate the religious right.

I don't have any children of my own, but I occassionally watch my beautiful baby niece. All I have to say is the advantage for me is I get to send her home and I have my free time, I can do whatever I want and get it done, and I have less stress. I wouldn't imagine the disadvantages though, except maybe not getting a huge refund tax that my sister receives just for giving birth.

The advantages far, far, far, outweigh the disadvantages. A good parent learns to be selfless, making little sacrifices without thinking, sharing small moments that live inside you forever. You have produced another human being that is part of you forever. The downside is ; you do most of the washing !

I see no disadvantages as being a parent is the most rewarding and fulfilling thing possibly imagined. Families are what life is all about. Nothing gladdens the heart more than seeing a little son or daughter come over to you and tell you that they love you.

Advantages = Finally having a purpose! Letting go of selfishness, being complete, blessing your marriage, I could go on and on.
Disadvantages = None. Disadvantages of getting pregnant, possible stretch marks, saggy breasts, larger feet, more stretch marks, hemorrhoids, list goes on.

the biggest disadvantage is that the worlld is getting overpopulated (in usage, pollution and consump[tion, if not in physical space occupied), and the next generatinos are going to face greater levels of autism, cancer, defects, disease and all sorts of serious disadvantages.
by not having kids (I also am not having any), you'd help ease the problem.
