I am left to believe there is some greater power, but can only hope for "eternal life" Appreciate the responses!

its not a "better than" "greater than" issue,,, things beyond this space and time, do not diminish this space and time
ps: though you comment was made to sandman, i will ask,,,, who told you that YOU would die, and why would you believe that?, the you of yourself, your spirit, lives, it has and will continue, after you finish this life time here on earth as we know it

In order for existence to be absolute, it would have to be eternal. If it exists one moment, then is nonexistant the next, can it really have true existence? Even the universe will become nonexistent, and the proof is, if you believe in the big bang, is that if the universe came into being, there had to have been a time when it was not in being, a time when it did not exist. The theoritical thought of unity is the only thing that truly exists. And what is that thing? It must be everything if it's to be unity.

Faith is all we have. There is something greater, for we have been promised so. And beyond space and time, you know from science that time ceases in space, and on the other side of time and space, and beyond...is eternity forever unfolding, forever increasing and you and me are part of that unfolding forever.

If it lies beyond space and time, it is of no consequence to us because we are creatures of space-time. It can have no effect upon us.
