Yes!! Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes!! OH MY GOODNESS YES! And I have for years now!
I had a car loan through them - well through a bank they bought, and had good dealings with the smaller bank but when Wells Fargo bought them out I couldn't get any help from anyone. I had the car loan, then moved about 400 miles away and tried to set up the automatic withdrawal of payment like I had at the other branch and they tried to tell me they couldn't do that. I told them they did at the branch where I came from. I fought with them over it for 1 1/2 hours. It's like they didn't want to take my money, but they would sure enough hit me with interest and penalties if I stopped paying them. In both locations the loan officers and tellers were beyond rude. It's like they didn't want to understand what I was telling them. When I moved and was trying to reset up my payments, I was working at a bank at the time and checked with some work friends and they said that it could be done as I said from any bank, that according to a new (at the time) law they HAD to be able to accept automatic withdrawal from another bank payments. I finally asked to speak to the "lady's" supervisor and when she went to go him/her someone else came in - an assistant or someone and told me it could be done but the lender just didn't know how to set it up. Finally the branch manager came over and he at least had decent customer service but still didn't know how it was done. I gave him the number of the old branch and the names of several people I worked with at the bank and said "Call these people. They seem to know more than you. They will step you through the process." About 15 minutes later the "lady" came back into her office and said that she had worked for Wells Fargo for many years and never knew they did that, or that it could even be done. No one EVER appologized to me, and they wanted to charge me for two days of late charges because they didn't set it up right the first time I went in there to have it done. I eventually got them to drop that too, but it took work.
So what's your horror story?

Wow Wells Fargo you all are truly something else, and it's not good! Our latest chapter in this short sale story occurred yesterday. How much time would it have taken to make one phone call to the sellers agent from your mortgage department and/or foreclosure department to alert everyone that Wells Fargo in their all mighty wisdom decided to push through the foreclosure sale on the short sale property we have had under contract for OVER 9 months. How cozy that a flipper happened to be at that sale in order to buy up this property! How convenient that absolulely NO ONE knew about this sale until it was over! What kind of kickback is the foreclosure department getting for working hand in hand with a house flipper? What kind of deal was made with Wells Fargo and the foreclosure company so that all communications were ceased between Wells Fargo and the sellers agent so that the couple trying to buy this property were completely stopped? Again how cozy, how convenient! Shady dealings, back room deals, all so some flippers can get the house they want!!!!!!!!!!!! How convenient that the listing for this foreclosure sale WAS NOT even placed on the Wells Fargo website in order to be viewed!!!! Wow I ask what kind of company treats people with such utter lack of respect or thought all so some deal between Wells Fargo, the foreclosure company and the house flipper can go through! How much is the house flipper kicking back to everyone? Who is the buddy the house flipper has at Wells Fargo and the foreclosure company? Where can everyday people go to get this inside information? Obviously playing by the rules doesn't benefit anybody anymore! Trying to work within the system obviously doesn't work! It's every man for themselves and let's make sure we screw over as many people as possible along the way! I am mad and at this moment in time absolutely HATE Wells Fargo, their various mortgage departments, their foreclosure companies, etc, etc, etc. The lack of communication on the part of Wells Fargo and their various entities utterly floors me. Both my husband and I both received phone calls from Wells Fargo yesterday (of course now we know they were completely AFTER the foreclosure sale was allowed to go through). And Wells Fargo could have stopped this foreclosure sale. They stopped a previous one a few weeks ago on this EXACT same property! Interesting that they just couldn't get that phone call and/or decision made in time this time! How cozy! How convenient! And yes I know I'll get some lame response from Wells Fargo on here about "reaching out to their mortgage department" with all their politically correct corporate speak! I'm sure this comment will get buried along with this entire chapter of my life. And yeah I'm still living at my son's house in his spare room, my life is STILL on hold 9 MONTHS after this entire thing started! My life is packed up in a pod and 1/2 of a garage! I hope the Wells Fargo employees sleep well along with their foreclosure company and the house flipper (let's not forget them) they really know how to screw people over! Go ahead Wells Fargo again - i dare you to delete this comment - I dare you!

Wells Fargo is notorious for charging fees for everything. I am surprised that they haven't charged a fee for breathing the air inside their local branch office.

I'm in between. But I guess it depends on what services you are expecting from a certain financial institute. Every bank has a "catch" to their products and services, you just don't realize it.

Why? So far, Wells Fargo have been very good to me. They are very accommodating when I have any problems or questions.

I gave up using them because of monthly fees. I found a credit union and get the same services much more cheaply.
