I'm watching CSI but I haven't seen it for about 3 weeks and they said Grissom is on Sabbatical. Can anyone tell me why?!

Keith I have just worded it as it was in the show!
Also are Grissom and Sarah officially an item? I've kind of lost the flow!

After the killer who made little models case was solved (if you haven't seen it i won't say more) Grissom had got a little disillusioned with people and has gone to the East Coast to be a guest lecturer at a university.

It has never been formally announced that Grissom and Sarah are an item but you did see him in bed with her coming out of the bathroom so it was implied. Also when he left he made a point of finding her on her own and say "I'll miss you".

He's only meant to be gone for 4 weeks so only two more episodes until he's back.

The actor, William Peterson, was taking part in a play so they wrote into the series that Grissom was on sabbatical.
He is now back on the series and it will be getting even more interesting near to the end of the season. An old flame will be coming back into the picture.
The previews indicate that the dominatrix, Lady Heather, will be making a re-appearance back in Las Vegas. it will be interesting to see how Sarah handles the competition

Grissom is a person.

Sabbatical is when you take time off your job for an agreed period of time, knowing that your job is still yours when you return. The period of time is usually a number of months.

He's taken a guest lecturer position, I think.

OK, after reading the answer above, I'm not sure if you meant the character or the actor. But I hope you find out for sure either way!

Keith, she didn't say anything wrong. Her question is correct, perhaps you're the one who's unclear?
