My seatbelts in the front are automatic when the car starts up they come across. But the kids in the backseat put them on before i start the car.

It depends on if I have my little one in the car with me.
If I am alone, I usually wait until I get down to the end of my dirt road to put it on.
If she is with me then I ALWAYS put it on before I start the car because I am fastening mine as I tell her to make sure she gets her's fastened.
I want her to know that you should always fasten your seatbelt before starting the car and you should always leave it on until the car comes to a complete stop and the car is no longer running before you take it off.
Just a good habit to get into. And kids need consistancy in everything they do.
