I love to go to the beach and watch the professionals fly kites. so relaxing.

Far too long ago. I think the last time was when my son was in his early teens, and he is now 30 years old. I probably will again when my grandsons get a bit older (the oldest will turn 4 years old tomorrow).
I've made several kites myself, but nothing too fancy (2 sticks to make a cross, string around the perimeter, light weight paper, and a long tail of string with plastic bows).

When my son was young we'd fly kites...but I haven't done it in years...I went to a kite flying show about 6 yrs ago, during the day on the 4th of July and it was breathtakingly beautiful...some folks really get into it...and, no I've never made my own kite, but many that were there that day had made their own.

I have ever made one when i was a child, 10 years old or something, and i flew it but there was way too much wind and it flew away. Since then i have never been flying anymore kites.

It's been a few years...the best place to fly kites in San Diego is Seaport Village...there's a kite store down there and always lots of wind. And talk about your great views of the San Diego Harbor...

Well someone told me today to go and fly a kite , but i dont think they were talking about kites at all.
Dont talk about kites and the beach ME+KITE+OCEAN = LOST OUT TO SEA.
its scary when it pulls u into the sky

yes, I have made my own--we made them in 5th grade or something at school with a professional kite guy...
it flies so easily and sooooo high!!!

4 days ago, for 15 minutes and the string broke. Now, someone else owns my red and gold box kite

it was when i was in fifth grade and we had a math project to make a kite that would fly, then we went to a local park and flew them...but mine never quite lifted off of the ground. : (

I made my own once when I was a kid. I couldn't get it more than 6 feet off the ground. That incident stays with me to this day and is THE sole reason I am not an aeronautical engineer.
