Sunshine I feel u. This country (americans) is out of control with violence and guns, each individual needs 2 be responsible 4 their actions.
I have not read the UK Y/A but unless you are in the middle of
this situation no tv, news, media or radio can describe the pain and hurt this causes not just the people involved but the nation.
We all no matter what country you live in should be concerned and appalled because this could happen 2 you in your town/state. This could happen 2 your children, there are sick and mentally ill people carrying guns every where and in-flicking their own sense of justice with violence and guns.
Where does it end and can we prevent it from happening again?

I'm sorry that you are upset by some of the comments on here. We too in Britain are appalled at this tragic event. It's just hard for us to understand a nation that allows people to buy a gun so easily and to be honest, most of the insensitive remarks I've seen on here have been from other Americans incensed that anyone dare criticise this 'right to bear arms' - for example see the answer from 'zeb6219'. We just don't understand that attitude. However we, like zeb, are allowed freedom of expression on here - most of us however try to be a bit more sensitive about it!

placed down the crack pipe and pay interest. I genuinely do not comprehend the position you heard that, yet you've it thoroughly backwards. German vehicles are seen the perfect vehicles contained in the U.S. the folk who've funds oftentimes force a Benz or a BMW. there's a reason as to why maximum German vehicles are so severe priced contained in the U.S. it truly is with high quality. Plus, in shopper comments and the automobile ratings of J.D. power and acquaintances, the Benz is continuously on the right of the record in protection, performance, and depreciation fee. you're pulling our leg, and any American who lives the following might want to comprehend this. fantastic attempt.

It is truly a shame that this kind of thing happened. Tolerance at all levels of life should be taught, starting from the very beginnings of life. We will never truly understand what forced this young man to such drastic actions. My sympathy goes out to all the families affected, the students at the school, and the family of the gunman, who is probably taking this very hard also.

The reason that the Brits can't get their heads around the right to bear arms is because the denying of that right aided them in the colonization and enslavement that was the British empire in order to subjugate a people you must first disarm them then control the press. It served the British well for alot of years

I am an American and I despise of guns and violence, I won't understand the need for violence or guns. I believe in love and peace, maybe I believe in the impossible and people can call me a hippie, but, that"s what I believe. I understand that guns don"t kill people, that people kill people, but, its people with guns that kill people. PEACE!

I sympathise with you.
I think that many Brits (like myself) cannot get our head round a society where state execution is legal, and anyone can go and buy a gun (sometimes without any background checks).
Such policies appear to outsiders as backward and barbaric.
As for the "right" to bear arms, what about the right to prevent loonys getting hold of guns.

while i'm sure i speak for most residents in UK, we do sympathise with your losses but we cant get our heads round the fascination or desire to have guns which many americans appear to have.
the argument for self defence etc, i feel is quite a week one. it means that people will try and out do others with bigger or better guns.
is it not time to move on from the decades of paranoia and belief that "they" "bogeymen" and "baddies" are around every corner and out to get you.
best wishes...

Well darlin, I'm neither mourning nor appalled. I happen to really like guns, and see them as an engineering art form. I have about 11 of them, and my favorite is a single shot sawed off ga.410 shotgun. I keep it by my bedside, and anyone entering my bedroom without an invitation is one dead turkey. More violent acts are perpetrated on our population that doesn't include the use of a firearm. I agree that unprovoked killing with the use of a firearm is a terrible tragedy, and only the murderer knows the reason. However, if one wants to murder someone, there are a lot of ways to commit the act that do not include a gun. What about the person who bludgeons another to death with a hammer. Or serial killers, few of who use a gun. AND, the opinion of anyone living out of our country doesn't matter to me. I think very little of our present administration; jug ears just cannot make an intelligent decision regarding the welfare of this country, and i question his level of intelligence. I do the best I can to be an asset to my country, and believe that most of us do. Because I don't identify with the actions of our government, i do not include myself in any opinion any non-American has.

There is a bumper sticker that I love. It says "Actually guns do kill people". My Dad is a member of the NRA. Do you know how much that makes me want to shake him up? Being an American I proudly say that Americans are crazy, sick and stupid. And people who tell me to move elsewhere, I say "I'm trying to."
