Someone asked me this question and I really couldnt answer. Is it guaranteed that a person who already had a child and got morning sickness the first time will get morning sickness again? My friend missed her periods for a few weeks but is waiting to vomit first before taking a test. Can she be pregnant and not have ANY morning sickness that all? She does even feel upset.

Every pregnancy is different, I had morning sickness with my first baby, none with my second and then when I had my last baby 4 1/2 years later, I had morning sickness again.

It's a hormone thing and is different with each pregnancy. Some people have it the entire pregnancy, some just a few months some not at all, so morning sickness is not a good indicator of pregnancy.

Wrong. She should take a test asap. Waiting to vomit isn't any way to tell if she is pregnant. It's likely that getting morning sickness once will be the same with the next child, but not in all cases. KJ

Every Pregnancy is Different... so she could very well be pregnant... I know people who have 3 and 4 children and not a single one of them be the same... So anything is possible.. ifshe has reason to beleive other than the vomiting thing.. then I would suggest she take a test...

if her period as not came after two weeks then it sounds very worrying. unless tthe stress of worrying about the pregnancy is stopping the periods comming . there is a good chance that your friend would have symptons of morning sickness again, but it is possible that she will not as every pregnancy is different. getting a test done will clear the matter once and for all. good luck. i hope your friend will be ok.

I never had morning sickness and neither did my sister with 2 different pregnancies. Every pregnancy is different and you can never guaruntee anything will be the same. SAhe should go ahead & take the test!! The quicker she starts prenatal care the better (if is really preggo).

Yes, a woman can definitely have morning sickness with one pregnancy and not with another. My doctor told me about a patient of hers who had awful morning sickness with her first pregnancy and required multiple trips to the ED for IV rehydration. With her second pregnancy, she didn't vomit once.

With my girls I was sick, sick, sick, but with both of my boys I had no sickness at all my pregnancy with the boys was a joyride compared to the girls... In my personal opinion being pregnant with girls was just too many female hormones going on in my body and with the boys all was well... So you don't always have morning sickness as a matter of fact my BF is 14wks. prego right now and she hasn't had one lick of MS although with her frist child she was very sick ( hoping for a boy) she is sensitive to smells though she just hasn't actually vomitted.....

IT is possible to not get any symptoms...like my first pregnancy.
My mom had 4 kids (3 girls & 1 boy) and she had morning sickness with only my brother which is the youngest.
I didn't get any until I was in my 2nd trimester.

Yes she can. Not all women have morning sickness. Some will have it with one pregnancy and not with another. It sounds like your friend is in denial that she may be pregnant.

Each pregnancy is different, it doesnt matter if she had 9 kids. She will feel some of the same things from others but it will NEVER be the same. and yes she could be pregnant.
