I would venture to say that dogma has never killed anyone. Criminal use of firearms has killed quite a few though. The NRA strongly condemns misuse of firearms.

Well I would ask someone to do the research and look at the major killing and shooting sprees in America.
Gun rights supporters always say that if more people carry guns crime would be prevented. Has there every been a time when a well armed well trained citizen killed the shooter and saved lives...if so how many times.

NRA dogma has killed no one. However, people using guns illegally have killed many. The only way to end gun violence is to jail or execute criminals. The VT murderer was crazy, from what the news reports say. The professors that graded his papers, which consisted on insane babbling, could have prevented the murders if they had turned him in to the university and gotten him some help.

Do you mean counting the fact that the NRA volunteer shipment of guns to Britain during WWII, which helped Hitler decide NOT to invade? And we really should include Pearl Harbor since the reason the Japanese didn't invade was that Hawaii was American, and in America, "Behind every blade of grass is a rifle, and behind every rifle a rifleman."

Media never reports how many peoples life's have been saved by being able to protect them self, they only report things like VT. Guns do not kill people, people kill people. Until you have been a victim of a break in, with armed criminals , you will never appreciate the fact that a weapon in your home could have stopped you or a family member from being hurt or killed. Criminals have guns they get illegally, we should be able to protect our self legally, if not, only criminals will be armed, and we will have no defense against them.

NRA and guns have saved the world against communism and police states! Don't forget under communism, believing and worshiping a god was illegal. perhaps guns helped save Jesus.

Guns don't kill people, people with them do.....if you are referring to the VA tech disaster.....they were legal guns, one person, one sick mind........I own a legal gun for only one reason and that is to protect myself and my family if need be, I hope to never have to use it but defend my right to have it and will till the end. If guns become illegal, only criminals will have them........JMO
