The oddest place was also one of the most beautiful.
Snorkeling off the coast of Denpassar, Bali.
There's a breakwater made from large rocks. We saw a 10' statue of carved rocks. There were flower offerings with a bit of rice in a palm leaf. They change these flowers every day 100s of yards off the coast!

Myanmar. Long story.
I needed to renew my Thai residency visa, and that was the quickest way to do it. I rode across this river on a rickety *** boat in the rain. I had to stand around long enough for them to screw with my passport and was offered enough pharmaceuticals to start my own Eckerd. Then I peed in a hole with sort of a door (that was the ladies' room) and went back.
So icky.
