In crystal, you need to head to Eurteak city which is above Goldenrod. Defeat the 5 Eevee trainers in Ecruteak City and talk to the father and he'll give you the HM 03-Surf. Head back to olivine and you can now surf across the ocean to Cianwood to get the medicine and take on the gym leader there.

Get croconaw to evolve. Feraligatr is so much stronger. Try to evolve nidorino into nidoking with a moon stone. Get rid of Gyrados and get either Jolteon, Pikachu, or electabuzz. Make sure growlithe knows a stronge fire attack, it will pwn Koga in elite 4. Heres my team Typhlosion LVL. 64 Poliwrath LVL. 69 Kadabra LVL. 45 Tyranitar LVL 55 so yeah good luck

u need a water pokemon and if you have a TM or an HM that has the move "Surf" then teach it to a water pokemon that can learn that move then stand right in front of the sea and press "start" and go to your pokemon and select your water pokemon you taught the move "surf" to and select "surf water" or something like that well good luck!!
