here is the problem: What is 1/4 of 2/3? I need someone to tell me how to figure it out, because we have more of the same problems.

in math word problems, the word of generally means times, as it does in this case.
(1/4)*(2/3)
When multiplying fractions you multiply numerator by numerator and denominator by denominator:
(1/4)*(2/3) = 2/12 = 1/6

Multiply the nominators. Multiply denominators. Divide first number by the second.
1 x 2 = 2
4 x 3 = 12

Answer, 2/12. (or 1/6).

"of" in 1/4 of 2/3 means "times".

very simple just multiply both of them and you'll get the answer
since 1/4 is .25 and 2/3 is .66
or if you would like it in fraction form do it this way

1/4 * 2/3 = 2/12 which is also 1/6 all you have to do is multiply numerator with numerator and denominator with denominator. good luck!
