Near Dark
A really good but overlooked vampire movie about a group of vampires that live in an RV. Great bowling alley scene with a head used as a ball

The only movie to ever scare me out of the countless and countless horror movies I have watched would be:
The Descent.
I also hate to say this, but Final Destination 2 kind of got me in the beginning.
Others?: Stay Alive (hahaha, shh...), Rest Stop, Saw.
And I saw someone say Audition, but ... no. No. Audition is the most boring piece of trash EVER.

there is an old movie made by a director named Dario Argento. He is known for his horror movies and they are scary! Check oout "Suspiria" and "Trauma"! Also, try the original "Psycho" and "The Shining" with Jack Nicholson will freak you out! "Salem's Lot" is good.

The only time I have ever been scared by a movie was when I was younger than the age of 6 and saw a small portion of IT and Chucky...other than that horror movies don't scare me so I really can't help you other than giving you a Wiki list. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horror_film

The Shining is scary for all the reasons you don't hear about.
Ghost Story with George C. Scott is really good.
The Excorsim of Emily Rose is based on actual accounts.
Stigmata has a great degree of creepyness to it.
Alien was good. (the first original one)

Dog Soldiers, won awards in every other country but this one, and film critics say that the US messed up by not putting it in theaters here. Its one of the best scary movies.
