this may taste gross but . . take a painkiller thats the chalky kind and put it on the spot where the tooth was. Let the pill disolve on your tooth and that should help quicker .

Pop round now & I'll give you an Indian head massage (why do they call it that when it includes the arms & shoulders ?). I had one after having a wisdom tooth chiselled out & it worked wonders.
Failing that, Nurofen (but watch out your face doesn't puff up).

oh dont tell me that lol, im getting my both tooth out on the 11th may, and also some fillings.... it be a lesson to us not to eat sweeties. but saying that the reasons my tooth coming out because they are hurting my gums. oooooooooohhh get better soon babe xxxxx

Avoid the pain pills if at all possible, but do things like this or watch a good movie to take your mind off of the pain. I just broke my foot recently, and I did whatever I could to take my mind off of it.

2 ibuprofen and 2 cocodamol tablets will knock any pain out altough u may not have the co codamol as its a strong painkiller think its prescription and u can take them both as they are 2 diff types of painkiller

Try this trick. Get a hammer, now smash your thumb with the hammer. I'll bet you won't even notice your tooth pain anymore.

gargle with warm salt water (prevents infection) take ibuprophen for pain- as directed on bottle- use a warm compress on the outside of mouth to stimulate healing and relieve pain.

eat an ice lolly, always helps me, it cools down the gum where the tooths been pulled.

regular painkillers , you could try clove oil as thats good for toothache some may work also bonjela gel as it may numb the pain for awhile
