It could be constipation, but honestly it sounds like an internal infection involving the swim bladder as well as other organs. The first thing you really need to do is get the fish out of the tank with other fish. If it should die in the tank it could pass the disease to other fish.

Secondly treat your sick fish with Furanace (Nifurpirinol) as soon as possible. I would suggest treating for 14 days, even if you see significant improvement in less time. This type of infection can move quickly so you need to as well to have a chance of saving the fish. If the fish will eat, treating with a medicated food will also help. If I can help more please feel free to email me.

it might be constipation put 1 teaspoon of magnesium sulfate in for every 2 gallons and don't feed it but it for 7 days(you could also try peas in combination) or might be a intestinal parisite use srandard fungus cure(salt bath) or if that dosn't work call your vet and get anthelminthic added to the fishes diet and remove the carbon from your filter of carbon media cartrage/bag. If you don't see worms comming out of the fish it is probably contipation.

Sounds like dropsy. If all the scales are pine coned out, the fish is going to die. Zero percent chance of survival. Place in zip lock bag with some water and place in the freezer.

It could be an internal parasite as suggested or simply overeating that has caused constipation. Try isolating him form the others and don't feed for 3 days. Then feed him a cooked pea with the hull removed. See the link below for more information on constipation.

It might be constipation. This happens when godlfish eat a diet that is high in fats. Green foods help them to digest food more easily. Peas are great to feed to them, and will act as a mild laxative. Take frozen peas, thaw them, and feed them to your goldfish. This should help.

this might be an intestinal parasite. you may want to separate this goldfish from the others or treat the tank with non iodized salt or aquarium salt. If you can see the area where the goldfish poops and it's bloody this is a good sign of parasites.. i know it's gross. you may also want to watch how much you are feeding them. goldfish can eat themselves to death..hope this helps....GOOD LUCK
