Definitely YES!! I was raised with those kind of names from my parents. But when a man calls me something sweet it makes me want to curl up and purr (and I love dogs, not cats). Sometimes I think women are like cats though. Especially me. Good Question!

What? Can't he remember my name? I reckon I've never met a man who does this that doesn't call every woman "Darlyn", "Sweetheart" or "Dollface". A personalized pet name's great - but the generic? Nar! So no! I guess I don't like it!

Sweetheart, fine.
Darling, fine (not "darlyn" though).
Dollface would probably get him laughed at.
...and we have a RULE that he's never allowed to call me "babe" or "baby" or I get to punish him!

Depends how old they are. If they are over 45, it's sweet. Under 45 and they sound pervy.

It doesn't really phase me, although my boyfriend bitches that I don't call him pet names. I never have and we have been together for 9 years and he just now noticed?? Sorry, I just don't do that sort of thing....never have!! But, it doesn't bother me if I am called those or not.

Only if they're really old and I know they can't break the habit. From someone my age (20-30 yo) it makes me really mad.
