Wasn't Gary Sheffield's name mentioned in the whole Balco thing along with Jason Giambi and Barry Bonds? How did he get off so easily? From what I remember, he denied the whole thing and then it was all over. Am I missing something? Did he appologize? How did this get brushed under the carpet so easily?

Sheffield admitted to the grand jury that he had taken both "The Cream" and "The Clear," but he alleges that he was told by Greg Anderson (Barry Bonds' personal trainer) that they were simply ointments. He also seemed to lay some of the blame on Bonds, with whom he had trained for a while

I'm not sure he has anything to apologize for, other than poor judgment. If he used steroids, there's a good chance it was accidental, and by all accounts his usage didn't last long.

Barry Bonds like rubbed it on him

With that known, and Barry Bonds supposely taking roids, who could focus much on Sheffield, and now Aaron's record is close to being scattered, could u focus? I can't on him.

MLB wants to fry one guy at a time. Since Bonds is the most infamous one of the three and is about to break baseball's most sacred record, he's the only one still getting slack on steroids.

Gary Sheffield never did steroids, and plus they proved it because it was just something in his ointment that had a chemical commonly found in steroids. He doesn't have to apologize, he didn't do anything wrong. Everybody wants to believe he did steroids, but nope, hes clean and always has been.
