Don't say his Streak at Wrestlemania either, the only reason he gets to keep it is because of his popularity with the fans.
Why do people like him so much? Why does he get so much attenion I don't get it? He's like a cowboy trying to be gothic, The Boogeyman and Kane are way better than him.

I think the classic Undertaker was good, the American bad ***, the guy with the motorcycle.
I just don't plain like the "Deadman" gimmick, I'm wondering why people like it so much.

He was the first dark and demonic-style wrestler back in the early 90's. While everyone else was dancing to Shawn Michaels' "Boy Toy" song or Hulk's crazy antics. Undertaker was doing some creepy stuff that had never been done in the squared circle. That, and his ability to stay healthy has helped him become an icon.

I'm sorry...tell me that you did not just say that The Boogeyman & Kane are better that the Undertaker. I can't say that I like the Undertaker, so don't think that, but the Boogeyman is a gimmick and probably won't be around for nearly as long as the Undertaker. (Gimmicks generally go away after a while or change...Undertaker is a freak occurance in that he has returned to a gimmick in the same promotion that got stale and forced him to be a biker)
As far as Kane...there wouldn't be a Kane without The Undertaker. Kane was only brought in to be Taker's brother and feud with him, fans just liked his gimmick enough to keep him around and when the gimmick got stale...they unmasked him & shaved his head. If it wasn't for Undertaker...Glen Jacobs would still be a gimmick like New Diesel or Isaac Yankem DDS.
So as, where I agree that the whole "Deadman" gimmick is sooo done. You are correct in saying that his popularity keeps him around. Every year a new child is introduced to Pro Wrestling and that same child is fascinated with "Gimmick" wrestlers like Taker, because they are beyond reality. So when you ask why is he so popular...you only have to look at the kids that are watching the show. Not saying that there aren't some adults that like him still, but for every adult that still digs Taker, there is another one that wants to puke everytime he hears him say "Rest In Peace".

boogy isn't better than taker but im not a big fan of the undertaker as the undertaker i liked him as the american bada$$. i dont give a flying load of monkey crap about his wrestlemania streak but back in the hay day of the undertaker he was very talented and very agile for a big man and lots of people loved that although he has lost a step because of age he still have a huge fan base just like hulk hogan who will be making an appearence soon again on raw and might even get a title shot. also ric flair the 4 horsemen brought him tons of attention and tons of fans thats why he is a 18 time champ i believe he bring is the dough and thats what vince rewards that why umaga lost his title.

Were fans of Taker cause he is old school and almost all of the fans are old school fans, so that means we are going to cheer the dead man if he fights cena, cause cena is a new guy and he became champ a bit too fast..... and the deadman had to take alot of punishement just to make it....sure kane is cool but he will always be considered the baby brother of the phenom, and that would overshadow his next championship reign.....and boogeyman just sucks!

The Undertaker was originally the Deadman not some guy on a motorbike. Everyone likes him cause he's been there for so long and is still fighting. And i'm gonna go and say he is undefeated at Wrestlemania.

Easy.Its the same reason that Hulk Hogan is so popular.There the greats!!!There the wrestlers that ppl my age grew up watching and idolizing.And I agree that his streaks at wrestlemania shouldnt count because thats all staged.But boogeyman???Hes is usless.Sure he looks cool and is something kinda different.But anyone can bash a clock over there head and eat worms for a big a@# paycheck!!!

there are more popular people then Undertaker, they haven't won 15 wrestlemanias, Your probly one of those new fans who don't appreciate the legends

He is THE PHENOM....he has been everywhere and done every
thing. He is IT!!! there is just a presence that surrounds him....
and everyone in the world that has watched the undertakers entrance will admit they were a little creeped out...and that is what makes him who he is...He doesn't even have to talk a word to make you(the wrestlers) crap your(wrestler's) pants/tights/speedo.

I don't know why people like him so much. He scares me to death! I guess its because he doesn't care what he looks like or the way he acts, its the way he wrestles. I don't think people like the boogeyman as much because he is way gross, with the worms and all. But i agree Kane is better.

i like him because hes a true legend he brings his a game every match. and hes usually the first person to fight someone in newer matches
kane and undertaker are equally good but taker has a better win-loss record vs kane
and the boogeyman is terrible
