actually i really like that team...they have so many talented players...but in this tournament they didn't show their best ... as i guess...
normally we can say "this team will gonna win this match" after seeing their performance.. but S.A(in world cup 2007), sometimes they did well ,sometimes they gave up the match...
it's really hard to predict about them ,this time....

Sure South Africa have played some schockers in this world cup (and previous ones too) but what is importnant is how they play on the days that count (that's all that means anything to every team - it wouldn't help to win every match and then lose the final, that team has still lost, hint: Australia). I think South Africa still have a shot as they now, finally at the right time, seem to be peaking and that is essential.

South Africa has been going through a rough patch and their performance in the current world cup is not upto the expectations or their calibre. They even lost to minnows like Bangladesh, which is a highly-underrated team , and a team which has been on a 'giant killing' spree in the WC2007. Senior players like Greame smith, Jacques kallis, Herschelle gibbs have not played to their potential.
So, South Africa does not deserve a place in the finals, since there are better teams like Srilanka and Newzealand !

What ever the performance of South Africa but it is not easy to win against Australia in semi finals but if they beat Australia in semi final than no body will stop them to win the world cup 2007.

No team in the world cup have won it without going up and down in the tournament (except in the case of 2003 where Aus dominated at the start).
Yes they can win for doing this Pollock have to put his hands up and perform.

I wish to see them as world champion this time but they are getting more inconsistent as the WC is proceeding and this is what they did or got in all the previous world cups !! they play very well in the begining and then lose their spirit at the end ! i have never seen such an unlucky team like South Africa ! though you are right they are losing the grip now but i still wish them good luck !

Today they performed well against eng and they won by 9 wickets....as eng is not such a stronger side....but there loss against a small fish like bangladesh made think us abt this....they came in to such a position which india faces even now...in my view they have the energy and the spirit to be in the final agianst the aussies .....they diserve it too than any other team....

Of late the team is found wilting under pressure. But I am sure they have overcome this setback, as the win against England indicates. It is a better team with rich potentials and deserve to be finalists.

every team has its ups and downs, as like australia had in the recent past, so who knows south africa may perform better than they are performing now.

Well they ahve usually performed weel. It is just the unusual hicups. I wouldn't worry. Australia look good once again. It may be an exciting match between SA and Aus if they make it to the final.
