Imagine no possessions. I wonder if you can.
No need for greed or hunger or brotherhood of man.
Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you,
you may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one.
I hope someday you'll join us and the world will be as one.

I'm not looking for points, just for justice and peace.

Think of all the things that you do not possess but you love, then think of all you have that you share with others.

Remember, the great "pursuit of happiness" doesn't demand that you have to gather all kinds goodies for your own, never to pass around. It just means finding that which makes you happy, not what you have.

Sometimes I look at my LP collection (yeah, I'm old) and think of what albums are missing that I cherish. Then I look at them again and notice that for some reason I still have my original "Imagine" album, and also a second copy hardly played with the posters still in the sleeve. No idea where that copy came from.... go figure.

Personally, I like where John sang "Imagine no religion, I wonder if you can." It raises fur on some folks, but think of it. There are a lot of things that millions of people kill each other over because they think they own them. All in the name of the same deity.

It's all easy come, easy go and you can't take anything with you. Check out some of the concepts of Socialism and/or Communism where everyone gets a comfortable place to live, but it belongs to everyone and not the individual. I think you get to keep your own underwear however......

Great song. I hate to admit this but I don't think I could live without any possessions.

Sure--I can imagine. ( hmmm, mm, mm mm mm m mmmm)
But I am too creative to be without possessions for long! I'd find a cave for a house and make a bed of leaves and a cup of wood---I'd have lots of stuff again pretty quick! :)

I can imagine it. It has been a reality for me before. I think I was happier then, as I didn't really care about them. Now I have to protect what is mine.
