i have been told fire flys are toxic are they and what country they live in?

dont feed to your beardie.....i quote "Never Feed Lighting Bugs aka fire flyies to your bearded dragon. these are highly toxic, resulting in rapid death of bearded dragon after the consumption of even one firefly. also avoid feeding spiders known to be venomous to man, sugh as black widow and bron recluse spiders...." so yah....that was straight from the text....and i believe that this is in all geographic regions, (The book i got this from also said that there is a large firefly population in the eastern US.) but im not sure but i know i would even try....have a good on
