High school students can be kind of immature, so it is possible that some of them make stupid remarks. I'm amazed at the dumb things kids will say, but hey, they are kids. They won't hate you though.
If you look at people's reactions on Yahoo Answers, (a prime location for stupid remarks), you will notice that people tend to be incredulous that an Asian could have done such a thing! Just not what you expect from an Asian!
Of course Cho's race and nationality had nothing to do with his crime.
If you're worried about being heckled, prepare yourself with some answers. Not hostile answers, but not defensive either. Just be your usual self, they know you had nothing to do with it.
If you look up massacres in the US, they have almost all been perpetrated by white people. This is because most of the people in the US are white....
They also happen in places considered safe. I think these killers chose "safe" places partly because they figure there won't be any armed opposition, and partly for greater shock value.
By the way, welcome to the US.

32 innocent people are dead and all demented people can focus on is his nationality. By they way, this was not a serial murder, but a murdering spree. When Timothy McVae blew up the federal building, do you think it mattered what color he was? What was important was for him to be caught before he blows up something your dwelling in. It amazing how white people have a scale for everything. Even tragedies!. If someone blows something up they must be Arab or White and male, because blacks and women aren't intelligent enough to do that. If a serial killer is on the loose it must be an older white man. All this does is address a stereotype of how violent people accuse white men of actually being. If I was white that would piss me off, but then again, this is what racial profiling feels like, only it ends for once the person is caught and I will always live with it. Priorities are mixed up here!

No one blames you or anyone else, Asian or not, for what Cho did. He was the only person responsible for what happened and I don't think people really think he did what he did because he was Asian. Hold your head up and walk down the street the way you always do. If someone says something to you, tell them you feel sorry for them for thinking such a thing of you based solely on your race. Do not allow people to push you around or bully you. If they do, contact your counselor or principal and they will take care of the situation for you. Good luck.

There is always going to be the fools that hate you because of your color or race. They will take any opportunity to hate you. Most people will just treat you like they always do. The small minded people are not worth worrying about. But I would be careful about the areas I go into for a while. Just be your self, and you can't go wrong. You will find that there is a small group of ignorant people out there to whom any Asian is "Chinese". But this will help you to see who the true bigots are. Be proud of your heritage, and be proud of your country. I will say this, if you do anything to hurt my country, I don't want you here, be you white, black, brown or any shade in between. And bigotry hurts this, or any, country.
May God bless you.

I find it unlikely that people will hate you simply because you are Asian. Your part of the U.S., just as mine here in Seattle, has a considerable Asian population. People here are quite accustomed to seeing and interacting with Asian individuals; hopefully, the vast majority of the people there aren't foolish enough to blame an entire community for the actions of one clearly-disturbed individual. I certainly don't think of Asians as violent people; in fact, when I heard that the fellow who shot the people at Virginia Tech was Asian, I was a bit surprised. Given that most people DON'T associate Asian individuals with violence, I am hopeful that you will have no worries about your treatment.
