Canada and American culture is basically the same, especially for Ontario. Quebec is quite different (they want to be their own country after all) Also the maritimes are different in culture, I have never been there but people I have met from there are quite different. I am from Toronto, ON and I also lived in Ottawa, ON. Now I live in Minnesota, seriously everything is the same.
I mean Canadians get their milk in bags, while Americans get their milk in cartons and jugs, small differences like that. I think the only major difference is politics between the two countries, Canadians care more about Bush then their own Prime Minister. A study was done in Canadian schools in Ontario and they found that more children knew who Bill Clinton was then our Prime Minister at the time :D Canadians don't care about their government they way Americans do.

To whoever said Canadians are more like the UK, are you crazy?!?! I have been to the UK and half my family is from there, we are so different on so many levels! I could go on and on!

It depends, Canada is a huge country, bigger than the US.
People in say Ontario have much the same culture as we do. Its not a subordinate culture, just a very similar one.

People in Saskatchewan have a different culture. And Canadians have absolutely nothing to do with Britain anymore except for that their monarch is the Queen of England. They don't really like her much though.

They are by far more evolved than the US.

Examples: Universal Health Care, Federal Ecological Standards, Effective Mass Transit Systems in Metropolitan Areas & Marriage Equality

I think you should be the one to give examples. Why would you ask such a question.

I don't think Canadians are a subordinate culture to the U.S.

No I do not think they are subordinate. In fact, just the opposite.

Canada has really little to do with US culture, they are way closer to the UK, Australia and New Zealand

Nope. If anything, Canada is more closely related to its Commonwealth cousins: Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
