I have been considering getting a lip piercing for a while now, but my job forbids having facial jewelery. I know that I would be allowed to wear a retainer (I asked) but I was wondering how long it would take for my lip to heal enough for me to be able to safely put in the retainer?

You can find a lot of information/pictures of piercings and tattoos on this site: bmezine.com It's a good idea to read through experiences and articles here before you decide to get pierced. I use it to research any piercing I decide to get!

I don't recommend getting a peircing there. I know a guy who did it and it hurt really bad. Also, his lip was bright red for about 2 weeks. When you take it out, you see this ugly hole on his lip. I really don't want anyone else to do that to themselves. If you're above 15, and wear midriff shirts, I think you should get a bely button ring, because they look pretty good. But when it comes to your body, you never want to pierce too many things.

And anyways, your job won't even let you wear it.
