You could be allergic to lubricants, toys and condoms.

You could be wearing thongs that are colored and with sensitive skin in the genitalia that could get ugly. You may have also changed the brand of laundry detergent?

You could also have a yeast infection. That can manifest as swelling and soreness. You can ask your OBGyn or try a 7 day treatment. That may take care of it.

Stop using tampons. They can be the cause. There are a few sources that aren't pads that can be helpful for this.

If you are using condoms you may have an allegy to the latex or spermacide. It also could be friction causing the irratation. You may have to use a lubricant now. And if your partner is not gentle that too can cause some of the symptoms you described above. I reccomend seeing you GYN and let them know whatever they told you isnt working so they can look a little further into the problem at hand.

i'm very skeptical about birth control pills and all of the crazy side effects that they give, and i would recommend ask ur obgyn about the symptoms u have- u could well be having an allergic reaction to the pill or to condoms made out of latex- be careful and drink plenty of water, make sure u have plenty of four play before penetration- that can cause burning and swelling as well.

From experience, rough sex or too much of it can cause swelling, bruising, bleeding, soreness and even tearing down in that area. I go through that from time to time with my husband and I am in my late 20s. I'm not sure if that answers your question or if you even have sex that often, but I know that I experience that and know what it is caused from.

Are you using condoms?

I noticed the same thing after sex with my husband when we were using condoms. It turns out that I am allergic to latex.
