so we all have found out that the the shooter is South Korean. so what? now people are blaming it on race. I think that is absolutely ridiculous and absurd.

this has NOTHING to do with race. It had to do with his mental condition and his personal life.

but some people in this world are so shallow they are now talking garabage about south koreans, asians, etc and think that just because the shooter was south korean and what he did, now all the south koreans will do the same...even with the talks of immigration policies?

i mean, how in the world does this case has anything to do with race or immigration?

if the shooter was white as white out what would the shallow people blame it on?

a few have asked me to show a link or source to prove that there is a race backlash.

well, i dont have one and i have not seen one. i dont NEED one.

but guess what, it is out there, it is everywhere, it is everywhere on yahoo answers. theres tons of questions regarding the VA tech shooting and many answers have been racially involved. is that a good enough source?

after 9/11 the muslims in this country were prejudiced and treated poorly against because the hijackers were muslims. do i need a link or source for that too? i dont think so.

So glad to hear there are still rational people on here. :) We must also remember that, even IF his motives were racially motivated, he was ONE South Korean, and a mentally ill one at that. You can't blame a whole ethnic group based on the actions of one individual.

P.S. After Columbine, people blamed the shooting on violent video games and music. Naturally, people want a scapegoat after a horrific tragedy. But it is counterproductive to use race as a scapegoat. That's called racism.

It was probably not a race issue to the shooter, obviously not, for he killed those of all races, he wasnt singling anyone out. Seems to me that it had something to do with his classes, or how conversations could have taken place in it, etc..Perhaps someone will REMEMBER something important about this quiet guy, and how he was treated, and how he treated others, but, it will not change this fact>> The governments policies are in fact a root of it all, whether you realize it, or research it or not, it wont take away the NARROW TRUTH.

They have welcomed and allowed evil, when they were responsible for the peoples safety in this country. They have allowed enemies within the gates when the Bible explicitly told them not to let them stay, and worship other Gods before him. Many churches are also reponsible by the twisting of scripture, denominations that still do not adhere to the teachings, false preachers, sinners within a church with sexual sin contaminate the church, etc..they will NOT endure SOUND doctrine, nor teach it, only what their itching ears want to hear. They falsely teach doctrine, and people blindly follow, never reading it for themselves.
If the shooter was white , black , purple, etc, it wont change the reasons....government and wrong church, still the ROOT.

It's ALL imaginary, stop bringing this into reality!!!

It's the action of an individual, this has got nothing to do with race. The media emphasises he fact that this person is Asian maybe because people are curious, they want to know any additional info...

Just remember NOBODY is blaming race and immigration!!!!!!!! EVERYONE IS OVERREACTING....
Asians are thinking that we are going to be involved and others are thinking that they are going to be blamed for being racists... How silly we are to fall for these non-existing thoughts?

Some racist comments you see on the internet are jokes made by idiots, why even bother arguing over them?

Just take it easy ok? There's no race involved, stop being paranoid!

PEACE

I think this person obviously had some mental problems that he did not deal with, and that is not because of his race or sex or what he majored in at VT. It's because people are too busy to care about the feelings of other people or take notice when people start acting in a manner that is not acceptable in the world today. Whoever said something about race is just wrong.

Because people are stupid and race is the easiest thing to blame it on. I think the boy clearly was messed up in the head. Maybe his girlfriend did cheat on him. Maybe his professor failed him, maybe he was just that freaking crazy. I hope the truth comes out of what the motives were, but I think from what I have watched on the news so far, the guy was just a confused person. He should have been on meds, but none of his friends cared, or maybe they just didnt catch the warning signs.

What are you talking about? I have been watching the news channels all of last night and today. I DID NOT hear anyone of the channels say it was because of his race. Can you prove your statement, by putting a link up, of where you heard this, or where you seen it?? Thanks!!
Edit: No Proof!! No Link!! Yahoo answers is not a credible news source!! Game Over!!

Can you give me an internet link of a news report that states that a devastating backlash is in full force for all Asians because of one nutcase?

Because people are shallow and stupid, they will always find excuses to blame everything on other races.

It just shows that we Americans have never really adopted the melting-pot attitude toward each other.

Know what? I'm going to blame Christianity....again. Because this is about people looking for something or someone else to blame, because they are self-righteous. And that is the personality profile of a Christian.

It doesn't have anything to do with race, and the people who choose to think of it that way are just expanding exponentially the circle of their paranoia.
