With my left hand, I like to hold my wife's hand close and my other arm is around her waist.

The first song I remember slow dancing to was "Turn Back The Hands Of Time" by Tyrone Davis. It wasn't the first but it was the first I remember. I wish I could remember the song I had my first slow dance to but I was so flabbergasted that the guy had asked me to dance that I have no idea what it was.

One hand to the back and the other holding hands. Otherwise I look like a monkey trying to f#$% a football all hunched over.
She's 5'2" & I'm 6'.

I always do one hand on the back, and the other holding hands like a waltz. That's the way my father taught me was proper. Plus I don't like looking like I'm 15 again.

OMG...your question just made me realize I have never slow danced ever! =( If I go to dance clubs I don't slow dance, it's normally fast music so the dancing is a bit different..haha and even in high school when I would go to dances I don't remember slow dancing with my date. We would dance the fun ones and then the slow ones we'd go out and take little fun breaks. Oh man, that's sad...

I prefer both hands around the waist so I can embrace the lovely lady who chose to dance with me. It seems much more intimate.
