The same reason they believe people like Rush and Hannity....the truth is not important as long as it makes you feel good.

To me, it's a frequent frustration on Yahoo. But at the same time, it confirms my decision to vote Democratic in '08. I know not all Republicans take this tactic, but enough of them here do to sway my thinking about them in general. I have noticed the very same thing and post debunking sites often on these ignorant questions. Truth doesn't matter to them, if it's something against either Clinton they don't care whether it's actually true, they only care that it sounds bad. On top of that, they aren't bright enough to figure out how bad that makes them and their party look. Yet say something about Bush and they are screaming for proof and railing on Democrats for simply hating without evidence or real cause. Hypocrites much?
EDIT: And here they are comparing this to the 9/11 conspiracy theorists lol. Sorry, but there are much fewer nuts that talk about the 9/11 conspiracy theory than there are conservatives who promote and encourage any nasty information about the Clintons, whether it is true or not.

Careful not to fall into the same trap. Your question comes close to imply that Conservatives and Republicans are filled with hate or ignorance. Unless that was your point, then I am a fool.

But there are other options. It is called "bias". It is possible to research a topic with a preconceived notion which will effect judgment.
I have observed this from both Liberals and Conservatives.

they've been manipulated, they're so wrapped up in hating the other guy now that reason is taking a back seat, conservatives aren't the only ones being manipulated this way however, both the liberals and conservatives are being manipulated in this manner

Same reason people ask other questions that are fabricated lies. Such as "You know that Bush caused 9/11"
Most of us are smart enough to realize that its false, but there are always the idiots that believe that crap.

Most people use the politics forum to shout insults at the other side and the fact a question is not truthful does not stop it.
ArgleBargle, at what point did he specifically talk about Conservatives and yet instead of answering the question, look you use it as an opportunity to insult Conservatives. I rest my case.

well, what you say is true. but it is not systematic to republicans. I've seen liberals do the same thing with all their 9-11 theories. there are idiots in every party who think using baseless propaganda will sway the opinions of the masses.

It is a case of both... Please consider their abject failure to hold to account this administration and what they have done to the image and prestige of the US all over the world.
They are happy to convince themselves that all is working well in the engine room...
