Fender American Vintage '62 Strat, Fender American Deluxe Strat HSS or Gilbson Les Paul Deluxe? This will be a present, trying to choose best!

The Gibson will be the most expensive - close to $2,000 US. Each of these guitars is different - if you are going to give it as a gift be sure to ask the person you are giving it to what they would like - at least hint around with them a lot. I would like the Les Paul because I like Les Pauls, but I also own a Strat Deluxe. The Gibson has a shorter "scale length" (24.75 inches) and the Fender has a longer scale length (25.5 inches), and they have very different sounds. They are all cool in their own way, but they are all different.
