not when its cold. and l no when its dark l just need the right time to light the fire .

Depending on the open burning restrictions in your area, the best time to burn is when it's not windy and when there hasn't been a shortage of rain. Keep a garden hose nearby, too.

Just don't burn on a windy day, that can lead to ashes accidentally starting a fire nearby. You always need to have a hose nearby as well. Never leave the fire unattended.

check with your local ordinances. Some places it is not allowed. You may find the fire department making a run to your house and spraying the fire out and charging you for the call, now let's talk fine, on top of that.

Early morning so it has plenty of time to burn your rubbish and be out before dark. Be careful now.

It is time to catch up a bit - We have this issue called air pollution and burning trash is not a real help in battling it.

That's not allowed here in California. We let the trash man pick it up.
