No nothing is harmful! i have so many of them! and some of them have become like my best friends

No. It's not harmfull atall If you be wise about the situation.
I have many online friends that I am very close to.
Just be very carefull that you know 100% they are who they say they are.
Also, Make sure that they do not try to victimise you in any way, By persuading you to give out personal details, Or by sending reaviling pictures. And no matter what. Do NOT meet up with them. If you have to, Take a adult with you.
Trust me- Ive seen the conquensices of people not listening to their friends and meeting up with Men who are actully not 15 atall.. Who are actully 35!

I have several online friends that have become very close off line as well. Just be careful & take your time getting to know anyone before moving from the virtual world to the natural.

It can be harmful, but if you know the type of person you're talking to, it's all right. If they start talking about weird stuff that makes you uncomfortable, if you can, report it as spam. It's the best thing to do the in these situations. Trust me, I've been in these situations.

It is more likely to be harmful that NOT. so it is better to avoid making friends on line , particularly for girls . Many a tiger would be masquerading like cows to pray upon the unwary.Why should any one make friends with some one not known.

i dont think its harmful. but it can be dangerous if you arent careful about the info you give out. you need to be selective about the information you share, and who you decide to become online friends with. i have tons of friends online, nothing wrong with that.

Sometimes it is and sometimes its not I have a few online friends. And some of them I know already. There just as scared as you are you don't want to be friends with a serial killer now do you?

It definitely can be. I've experienced it myself. Just be careful of what you tell people about yourself and don't fall for someone online. A lot of people will disagree with me on this,but my experience is why I'm telling you to be very,very careful. It's very easy to be decieved online.
