This is my second pregnancy. Once during my first I had a giant uncomfortable poop/stool. Sooo frightening. Only once, then everything was fine.
Today, I had hard cramps and went to the bathroom and took me about 15 mins to pass this giant stool. Must have tore inside, because there was blood. I'm wondering if any other pregnant women had this experience during their pregnancies..so painful and so scary. Felt just like childbirth. Ugh.
The first time it happened I just chalked it up to being the way the baby is cramped up inside and probably put pressure on the bowels...I have no idea.
So scary...I'm going to talk to dr about it tomorrow at my appointment.

I have heard from having talked to my friends who were pregnant with their kids (and also read this in some of the groups I'm on for Women's Health issues) that pregnancy can change the way the bowel works as the baby grows. Since you are seeing your dr they can help you figure out what is going on. Since it has been some time since you posted this you may have already had your dr's appt and I hope that it went ok and that you and the baby are doing well.
