When will white people finally get the equality that minorities get? Here in texas whites are minority?

why cant there be a white scholarship or a white sheriff's association, every other nationality has their organization, but if whites try it we are considered racist. there isn't any equality in the US. if you are minority or female there is affirmative action, everyone is always talking about minorities coaching, but when asked why there aren't many whites playing baseball they say they aren't as talented, well the same could be said for coaching.

seems some of you only read part of this. i am no where near being a racist. my question is why does everything turn into race and why do minorities yell about equality then want someone to give them something. i earn everything i have. everyone talks about helping the inner city kids and all but that has to start with them wanting to help themselves. as it is said, you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink. there are programs that help, scholarships, federal gants for school. dont tell me that you can't make it. also i am saying that if everything is suppose to be equal, do away with the kkk, hispanic associations at work, the black associations at work, bring everyone into the same fold. dont get me wrong i know this will never happen because of idiots out there. also i know what minorities go through everyday. my adopted family is black so i understand it completely. the difference is they dont complain about this and that they achieve their goals.

it is funning, reading the answers several of you act as if i am rich and have servants, i grew up in a military family overseas and then moved here to texas, when i tried to make friends with mexicans, blacks or whoever, i was looked down on for being a white person who talked to other nationalities. i have never had a servant, i do my own yard work, and take care of my own kids thank you very much. what i don't appreciate is illegal immigrants coming here and taking away rights that you and i have, i belive that all people should be able to come to this great country and live their dream but there are ways to do it. learn english for one, i have visited 15 different countries and not once did they bend to learn english for me, i had to learn part of their language to get a long. so dont categorize me with the rich idiots who are afraid of different people. i belive that all people are equal and that we should be treated that way, not given advantages becuase of our skin color.

dr shan stated that whites are unable to compete in anything, that just seems funny. my point to her nonsense is this. all we hear about is how there are no minorities coaching or doing this or that, it seems no matter what the race card is played and things get over looked. for example in sports records are broken yet instead of looking at that everyone is looking to see if there is a minority involved. when this happens it takes away from the record, for example what jackie robinson did, this last week we heard more about how there are not many black americans playing baseball and it took away from what Jackie did. This happens way to much. its ridiculous when people pose these questions. read your question it doesnt even make sense. us minorities are trying to become equal to the white MAJORITY. we are the ones who lack representation and thus we must do things like this to make sure our needs are met and not just those of the majority. clearly many people lack proper understanding of affirmative action. affirmative action doesnt mean that because i can go to Harvard with just a 3.0. It's just a way to get more minorities in college. It's a way to try and help us minorities move up socially and economically. What's so bad about that? It's very fair considering we would not have this problem in this country had Europeans not oppressed blacks and the native american populations. Affirmative action is there to help blacks which is fair because those horrible years of slavery and segregation have left us behind the whites socially and economically. the hispanic population is also helped by affirmative action which is also fair since Europeans invaded their lands and also caused the economic setback of their nations.

oh and that buying nikes with food stamps is bullshit... that guy is jus racist and obviously has NO IDEA wat he's talking about..

I'm white and I lived half my life in Detroit. There is no way I would trade places with a Black man, just because of ignorant jokers like you. You have no idea what people of any other color go through.

You want equality? Then help those kids in the inner city get out. Help them raise themselves up and move on to be productive and not wind up like so many others pushing dope and banging. Move into the city. Improve the neighborhood. Help your neighbors. Don't sit there in your little suburban home and whine on your computer. Do something to make things fair and equal.

Stop moaning white guy! If your white congressional representatives would stop allowing minorities into the country to babysit your kids, cut your grass and do all the grunge work you are too "privileged" to take care of yourself, you wouldn't have to worry about being a minority. And now that WE'VE made this country great, it belongs as much to us -- IF NOT MORE -- than any white guy whining about the lack of whites playing sports. Plus TX is one of the most racist states in the union, I'm from there. I moved up north because they don't hire blacks in TX. The only minorities I know of that get hired there are Mexicans.
