I had to get my HCG levels checked daily with my daughter during my last pregnancy, it's the pregnancy hormone that doubles everyday if your pregnancy is developing normally. This is probably a normal procedure for them to do for you if you are just finding out you are pregnant, they probably are trying to find out how far along you may be. It usually only takes 24-48 hours to get results and they may not be exactly doubled like everyone makes you believe, mine didnt exactly double and I have a beautiflul 18m girl taking a nap in the other room! Just to let you know- some of the other answers aren't exactly accurate.

HCG is the hormone your body produces when you are pregnant. Typically when they do a blood pregnancy test it gives a Yes/No result but your test may have come back inconclusive so further test the blood to see exactly how much hcg is present--usually anything over 5 is positive but the higher the better. Good luck and baby dust!

HCG levels mean Human Growth hormone, which indicates pregnancy. If you are just a few days late on your period, the HCG could be weak, and that is possibly why the Dr. is still waiting. Good Luck to you.

She is waiting for an HCG number to see how far along you are. These tests are not ordered STAT unless it is an emergency so that is why you are waiting. You could possibly find out later today or tomorrow. Routine tests usually take 24-48 hours to result.

i've got constantly had my blood tests performed on the comparable lab, so i'm uncertain if there must be discrepancies from one lab to a various. it variety of feels there extremely should not be because of the fact that they are measuring the comparable ingredient. the solid information is that your ranges are increasing. perhaps it can be a solid concept to have yet another attempt performed, the two on the well being center or the 1st lab to evaluate the numbers. even however on hassle-unfastened the numbers double, as long as their increasing at a relentless fee, i think of that's nonetheless ok. there is extremely no longer something extra they'd do suitable now. in case you had a vaginal ultrasound, they'd diploma the sac, however the infant is a trouble-free procedures to small to be considered in it yet. by skill of seven weeks, you would be waiting to make certain the infant and heartbeat on a vaginal ultrasound. i know that's going to look as though eternity to attend 2 weeks, yet provided that is a huge alleviation. i could recommend asking the well being care provider to do one. terrific desires.
