Though I am also a fan of Cricket, I agree with 50% why because, America, China and so many Other countries are not playing, not participating. Hell yea! Cricket is awesome. I really am sorry for the Americans cus they r missing out (mainly cus they refuse to like the game since they cant play it. Because they do not dominate it or are even a part of it, they refuse to accept it as a gr8 sport, now tell me, isnt that arrogance?) but it's their bad.

I dont think any other sport unites ppl as much as cricket. In the Caribbean, it is one of our passions and is a part of our way of life, our culture. So yea, cricket is the most important game to us (we r hosting the 2K7 cricket world cup! yay!)
They are other sports that are cool but i can only feel real enjoyment when watching cricket...its the game we grow up playing. jus love love love it :P

But My answer is"Yes",for the cricket playing nations.
for a true cricket lover,
who has lot more freedom to enjoy their favourite game,

i mean five days of a cricket game would satisfy older generation for they are "retired" from their Jobs.
they have more leisure time to spend on Test Cricket.
Some psychiatrists say that watching fish tanks good for health specially for Hypertention pateints.
And they recently found out long time waching any game of pleasing atmosphere would cure their Hypertention.


Hyper games for Rude Hyper Fans.
But Cricket is the kind of game who needs mental strenght rahter than brutal force(superball ,Wrestling,Ice hocky,Boxing,etc..
And Tennis Golf & Cricket is for decent spectaters.
But now i even admit that some cricket spectaters are
not so called decent fans.
they call it"Gentlemen's Game"It's true.
Cricket is for inteligent players.
Not for mustle heads.

Others are hyper games & they are for hyper fans....physical fighting..( let alone Boxing, Karate & Wrestling)

no game is important but cricket is really cool anyone can play it ,in the caribbean even children play it with friends there is nothin hard about it ,but it is really important to us though cause our president went a build a stadium to host this year`s world cup matchs although if only a few.anyway north amerincans r too stuck up on football to see a good sport when it is right in their face,football suck cause kicking a ball is not fun and rugby is too painful and u actully get broken bones from playing it esp professionally ..

i have a friend from newzealand who says cricket is the most boring sport out there and he would prefer to watch rugby instead
i wonder how folks in south asia has so much following for this game yet these south asian teams ( except Sri Lanka) are the most awful weak teams
