I have to do an interview for a project on a person from the 1900's so I picked Abraham Lincoln. But I am not quite sure what to ask him. Can you tell me a few questions?

"Did you really meant to settle freed slaves in Africa? In Liberia? Sierra Leone too? Voluntary?"

Old Abe never made it to the 1900's.....A far better person to interview would be Henry Ford.....a common man that was the first billionaire. If you insist on Lincoln, ask him about his principles, how did they develop, was he ever afraid that the anti-war people would win the debate. You see just like our current president the war is necessary but the general population has grown weary. Lincoln must have been tempted to give in but where would our country be today.

You could ask him "What was the real reason for the civil war?" Alot of people think it was because Lincoln wanted to abolish slavery when in fact this was not the case. Lincoln was fighting for the Union.

Were you affected by your experiences of dreams and your sense of loss beyond the sad death of your son (William Wallace Lincoln) who died at the age of 11 in the White House? Did you regret picking Andrew Johnson as your Vice-President for the 1864 elections? Do you regret suspending habeas corpus or was it justified during a time of war and rebellion?

There are some indications that Abraham Lincoln might have been gay. I'd ask him if he was in love with his male friend whose name I don't remember. He would probably answer: "None of your business!" But I'd still be interested in finding the answer.
