I understand that there are other "issues," of course, that play into this -- and some of these should at some point be addressed.
However, it saddens me the way some people are jumping on this tragedy -- using for an excuse to push their personal/political agenda.
Whether it's video game violence, gun control, or immigration issues ... why can't people just understand this is truly about some messed up guy senselessly killing people?
Is this bothering anyone else?

I'm not getting this from TV. I am getting it from everywhere: people I am talking to, articles I am reading, stories/discussions on the internet, etc.
It's only one day later it's already rampant.

Yes. You could call this guy "evil,"a nutjob," whatever you want.
I think what he did was demented -- freakin crazy, sick and wrong. That just wasn't the point of my question.

it's ridiculous -- and it didn't just start today, i was seeing it from the talking heads yesterday afternoon
both sides of the gun control issue are demanding that this matter somehow shows them to be right -- it's totally bogus, all of it.
people who use this issue to push their political agenda are not people i consider to be a part of humanity -- they have no sense of loss or grief and have no respect for the dead.

the entire concern is in basic terms unhappy. not one of the human beings on the college will ever be the comparable after having been contained in the path of the form. actually, this jogs my memory of 9/11 lower back. had to show off the television information and am no longer analyzing the internet information the two. Technical faculties are the place our brightest pupils pass to varsity(technological expertise/math). those pupils are many times seen NERDS and there regrettably is a hierarchy between "the haves" and "the have nots" at school in basic terms like everywhere else. Fringe communities comprehend this and seek for to apply the area. till each rock has been unturned, no judgment can or might desire to be made.

YES!!!!!! They are turning this into racial, gun control, immigration, etc..... How is it any different if the shooter is Asian, White, Black, or Blue. What bothers me even more is that all last night (watching the same channel mind you) the reporters seemed to be coming up with the crap as they went along! One second they would say one thing and the next second they would say it was something different. If you don't know, don't speak. My hats off the the officer who was fielding questions last night. He had way more patience for those stupid reporters than I would have!

its tragedies like this and brainless comments like the ones Don Imus made that opens the door to issues that are rarely addressed, until crap like this happens. The point being, we all understand the guy had to be messed up. The question is why was he so messed up, what was the tragedy in his life that made him get to the point where he had to commit such a horrendous act of violence? We as a nation need to get our heads out of the sand and get a clue. This young man is another of many "lost and messed up" children that this world as a whole has fostered.

Yeah, people are going to find a way to achieve what they want. Abolishing this or that won't solve anything; in fact, it's more likely to cause more chaos.
People should check their agendas at the proverbial door.

The one factor that I find disturbingly omitted is that this guy was just plain evil.
As for the media banging the drum form more gun control, the assault on the 2nd amendment will always be part of their agenda.

Yes, but not nearly as much as Bush doing the same thing--using 9/11 as an excuse to attack the non-involved Iraqis.
Irresponsibility from the top doesn't set a good example.
