Close, but I think the biggest con ever is "freedom". Seriously, how can you be free with so many taxes and rules, and the slavery of paper gods!?

Now that you put it that way yes! I buy bottled water all the time and I guess cause its convenient then any other reason. Water is water and it doesnt matter if it says its organic or pure water with no chemicals thats not enitrely true. The best type of water you can drink is straight from the tank ( rain water) Even then there could be nasties in it. But what you dont know wont hurt you if you dont think about it.

I buy bottled water just for the convenience. I don't have to fill a pitcher with water and then pour it in a glass and I don't have to clean a glass. At Costco it cost about 15¢ a bottle. It is handy when there is a power failure and I have no water (it works on a pump). In some areas it tastes better than tap water.

On the other hand paying for a high class water for a few dollars a bottle in a restaurant is foolish.

Yes, water it should be free. A bigger one? having to pay to put air in a tire. I live in Michigan and at every gas station that I know of it costs from .50 cents to 1.00 dollar for AIR...and cable t.v is a con. The cable fee's here are sky high. Just to name a few more among the many........the high price of gasoline and food. And by the way, what I'm I dong now? sittin' here drinking a bottle of water!

The town I live in has the best water in the world. ( Awards and everything) They truck it out daily to be sold at a dollar a bottle.

And to think I flush with this!

Yeah it is. Now let me crack open a volvic... Mmmm filtered through volcanic rock mmmm. We pay more on average for bottled water than petrol. Ergo, lets have a war in the French Valleys to seize some err i mean, depose a dictator/bring democracy blah blah blah.

yes - things like dasani are - they tried to market it in the uk - and when they found out it was just tap water from the thames (which is the worst tasting water in Britain) no one bought it.
Also the plant got contaminated so they had to withdraw it, a bit of a disaster all round.
