It's not that they can't, it's just that they haven't been. There is nothing stopping the two Wales lads from inter-racial marriage (other than perhaps any requirements laid down by parliament on suitability of the intended - e.g. she cannot be a divorcée or Catholic)

Yes they can. If Prince Harry ever decided to marry a Black girl who came from a "good" family, upper-middle class background, very polite and stable, and very well educated, it would not be a problem at all. Sure some senior memebers of the Royal Family may have a problem with this (Prince Philip and Princess Michael of Kent) but the Queen would be fine with it and God can only imagine how the media would act to a "Royal Interracial Couple". There are many British Royals that have had relationships/married non-White British and people of a different race, like one of Prince Andrew's girlfriend was a Filipina, Prince Harry dated a Black (mixed race) girl when he was in his late teens for a short period, James Lascelles (2nd cousin of Prince Charles) married a black Nigerian woman, Lady Davina Windsor (the daughter of Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester) married a Maori man from New Zealand, Lucy Cuthbert (niece of the Duke of Northumberlandand) married an extremely wealthy Saudi Arabian prince, and Lady Gabriella Windsor (daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent) was dating a handsome Indian boy for many years.

Your assumption, and Angelika's bold assertion, are both wrong. Since the 1920s children of the monarch have taken non-royal spouses. If William or Harry wanted to marry a black woman and there was nothing unsuitable about her (her father was a dodgy businessman, she was a Catholic, etc) then there is no reason to assume that the Queen would object. Lady Davina Windsor (20th in line to the throne), the daughter of the Queen's first cousin the Duke of Gloucester, married a Maori man.

Swaziland still has a monarchy and all the royals there are black. You have plenty of black monarchies throughout history so if you wish to have Royal blood you probably do somewhere in your family history. The blacks were not always slaves you know. There is a rich cultural history there if you know where to look. Egypt at one time had black Pharaohs over time it changed. Africa at one time had a rich culture, but it was destroyed through a series of plagues and famines. Look it up.

Why push the issue? If it happens, it happens but like... these days, everyone wants to cause contraversy. The royal family is what they are and they do what they do. Let them be. Nevermind if William found a black girl or if someone ended up being gay. These days, everyone wats to disrupt the status quo. Just leave it be.

Chances are if it was William, he might be forced to follow his uncle Edward's steps and abdicate.
I personally don't see anything wrong with a black person or any other race individual joining the royal family, but I honestly don't think it would happen.

The queen wouldn't be able to make a public issue about race because she'd look like a biggot. I can't understand why the royals have a problem with genetic variation.

well, that way, the racism laws in england would become better and racism would be a very touchy issue, otherwise probably the royal house would take strict action against the violator because a person close to them would be morally hurt- and the result would be good i would say. i think. but, nice question btw.

They live in a very restricted world. I'm sure they would never allow themselves to become involved with anyone who was not from one of the more distinguished and reputable English families. Remember, there were those who , at first, was appalled at the Prince's marriage to Diana... they disapproved because she was a " commoner" in some of their eyes.
